Living Sublime Wellness

Great news - I had my first radio interview on 14th June with Elizabeth Scala of www.livingsublimewellness.com who has her own rejuvenation station with blog talk radio dedicated to nurses. Elizabeth is a life coach, nurse and reiki nurse making a real difference in helping nurses attain balance in their lives, to help manage stress, tension, aches and pain. I was so excited to be interviewed although our geography let both of us down despite technology having the time right, I did call in at 11am to discover I should be calling at 4pm, but hey ho, no problem. The interview went smoothly and listening to the podcast I was very pleased with what I heard, as you never know when it's the first time and live. The podcast was created immediately and is now available for download through ITunes, you just need to subscribe to Living Sublime Wellness and all previous interviews Elizabeth has done are also there to download for free straight away. The wonders of technology! A blog I wrote entitled 'The need for tiny, mindful movement' is available on Elizabeth's website for your perusal, so all in all it went very well indeed with great guidance from Elizabeth and so I'm very happy and I hope very much indeed some benefit was provided to the listeners and anyone who decides to visit Elizabeth's website to read my blog and also access the podcast if you missed the interview.

Back and Hip Pain - Acceptance

lets talkAcceptance of our back or hip pain allows change to take place; it means we're open to acquire the knowledge on our journey to have a life free of pain. When our minds are calm and uncluttered our thoughts mean something and are worthwhile to listen to, or we may hear something which we pick up on, or by taking time to look around us we notice things which are brought to our attention for a reason and when we notice, we can take action because it feels right and resolve can happen.

When we battle with ourselves refusing to acknowledge our pain, a battle we may not even notice we are having until we sit and think about it and then with hindsight we realise our actions are detrimental to our back or hip pain and any type of relief evades us. When we accept our situation we are taking matters into our own hands and personally doing something about it, we are gaining control of our life, pain and eventual solution.

Taking time to sit and think we discover all sorts of things, it may be that our emotional wellbeing is being neglected and our needs are not being met, again we haven't noticed as we are too busy, taking too much on, our mind with many thought processes at once and without any connection to our bodies and our feelings are blinding us. This disconnection between mind and body can be regained by focusing on ourselves each day to be able to notice and begin to peel back the layers and discover the real us hidden underneath.
