Most of us start life with an aligned torso with balanced movement. However along the way the stresses and strains of life start to show.
Incorrect postural habits become ingrained and back / shoulder or hip injuries that don't get the right rehabilitation can cause changes to the way we move and loss of movement.
Lower or upper back pain. Are you sitting (and standing) comfortably?
Take a minute to look at the way you stand. When you stand is one knee bent with you leaning slightly?
How do you sit? Perhaps curved forward with rounded shoulders or maybe one leg bent on the chair, legs crossed, shoulders raised when typing, looking diagonally ahead rather than straight?
Standing and sitting in an unbalanced way each day creates tention and tightness, causing faster wear and tear on our joints and ligaments. Stiffness and aches set in which can lead to eventual back pain, shoulder pain and hip pain.
I am living proof that regaining correct postural habits and back pain relief can be achieved through gentle back exercises - and all it takes is a little regular time each day.
