Q: Can simple/easy movements really STOP back and hip pain?

(Yes they can!) Although the movements in explanation are simple, they need your full attention and focus to do them. For example I found I could not do the same movements with my left side (where I'd had pain for years) as I could with my right side (where I had no pain). This is crucial to STOP Back & Hip Pain. We need balanced movement so as not to build tension and cause strain which can cause pain.

To ease pain we restrict our movement to go about our everyday lives and then these incorrect patterns stay with us. Mostly we don't even realise this is happening, but if you have pain, then you know something is not right. This is where STOP Back & Hip Pain comes in. These simple but extremely powerful movements allow you to regain easier, balanced and co-ordinated movement. We're urged to keep our minds active by playing Sudoku etc - so why not work mind and body together by repeating easy step-by-step movements each day and replace incorrect patterns with correct patterns while enhancing your range of movement - the sure way to a pain free life!

Q: What does working Mind and Body together mean?

Close your eyes and imagine yourself sitting in a deck chair with the heat of the sun warming your face. You can almost feel the heat penetrating, making you feel good. This is the power of our minds and any movements you can't do, by picturing the part of the body you're working (pictures provided), you just simply run through the movement in your mind, as if you're actually doing it. This can refresh your memory of movement lost over time - quite simply the power of 'working Mind and Body together', which is why it works so well!

Q: Why is it a CD as opposed to DVD

A key point of my STOP Back & Hip Pain CDs is to internalise. By this I mean to totally focus on yourself. This way enables you to really notice what's going on. Total focus enables you to do the tiniest, most accurate movements in a way that's right for you. Breathing to your core and tapping into your nervous system to release tensions and tackling the root of the problem from Day One, taking one step at a time to STOP your back or Hip Pain.

Watching a DVD in this instance would not allow you to do that; you'd not be able to use pictures in your mind and totally focus as you need to. You'd be too busy watching. Many of us are visual people so we like to see. But once you lay down, using imagery you will be seeing what you need to for a great outcome. Although we pretty much all work the same way, we are unique and working mind and body allows for that it also means STOP Back & Hip Pain is suitable for any age.

Q: Is it suitable for anyone?

The CD routines are movement the 'NO STRAIN' way, starting from 5 minutes for you to build up to 20 minutes in your own time. You'll know what you're feeling and full guidance is given throughout the CD (remember this combination method was put together by a back and hip pain sufferer). In the case of any injury, tiny movements enable a flow of energy to the area, to help speed up the healing process. It makes no odds to our mind the size of a movement, our torso just needs movement to function. This is a necessity to a pain free life. So as you relax, I'll talk you through the moves. So you're never too young or too old to start. Just make a conscious decision to start today and this decision can start you on a new journey that's just for you!

Q: What is a combination method?

An approach of 4 concise full routines, which comprise 3 laying down and 1 seated (plus 3 starter routines). It's the combination I've used to completely eliminate my back and hip pain since the end of 2007. The combination works the whole of the torso. Think of a baby crawling; its legs, hips, pelvis, ribs, shoulders, arms, neck, head, eyes and breathing are all involved, not just isolated parts which can happen through our lack of movement.

So just alternate the routines a minimum of one a day to start slowly releasing deep rooted tensions, allowing your joints the freedom to re-align and for discs to get their space back, coupled with regaining co-ordinated movement. Within just weeks your body may be free to work the way it should and once did, so instead of shrinking with age you could turn back time. I'm 3 cm taller and in the best shape I can ever remember... with amazing posture!
